Christie Brinkley To Design Eco-Friendly Fabrics

Christie Brinkley is using her talent for design to support the environment with a new line of eco-friendly fabrics. The fabrics, by Jo-Ann Fabrics, will be made of organic cotton or recycled polyester (from plastic bottles) and be produced via a waterless process that will result in less waste.

“I was thrilled when Jo-Ann asked me to create a line of sustainable fabrics because it’s important for me to know that I am doing everything I can to ensure that our children inherit a healthy environment. Supporting organics is a huge step in that direction,” says Christie.

The inspiration for the designs will come from Christie’s Hamptons beach house, in seeksucker and beachy blue, green and coral prints, and will be available soon at Jo-Ann Fabrics and Crafts stores.
