Jon Bon Jovi Donates $1 Million To Build Affordable Housing

Rocker Jon Bon Jovi has donated $1 million to help build new affordable housing in his home state of New Jersey.

The rock star joined state Governor Jon Corzine, Newark, New Jersey Mayor Cory Booker, and fashion designer Kenneth Cole on Tuesday to announce the $15 million project.

The singer’s Philadelphia Soul Charitable Foundation will provide the donation to the 51-unit building in Newark, the state’s largest city, which will house the homeless and people with special needs.
