Jessica Biel Tackled Kilimanjaro- Now Everest?

Jessica Biel hasn’t been home long since her epic climb up Mount Kilimanjaro to raise awareness of the global clean water crisis. But she’s already setting new goals.

I would love to trek to an Everest base camp,” Jessica told US Weekly. “I feel like I could handle that a lot better for a longer period of time, so that’s my next expedition.”

While the Everest base camp would be a bit lower than the Kilimanjaro peak she just climbed, Jessica knows it will be a challenge- physically as well as mentally. She says of Kilimanjaro:

It was really mental… [The key is] to not let your brain play a trick on you — to keep motivated — to keep inspired even when you’re feeling nauseous and your head hurts and you’re uncomfortable thinking, ‘What am I doing here? This is crazy. This is really, really hard!‘”

A documentary about the group (including Jessica, rapper Lupe Fiasco, Emile Hirsch, and artist Kenna) that trekked up Kilimanjaro, Summit on the Summit, just premiered in New York City- be on the lookout!

  1. Any time famous people are able to bring awareness about the water crisis, I applaud them.
