Beyonce: Oscar-Bound!

When Beyonce works out, she’s running toward a goal- literally. The multi-talented performer keeps a painting of an Oscar statuette in her personal gym and places it in front of her treadmill for some serious motivation! “I look at it, and I’m like OK, I have to stay in shape.”

Not that she needs to work harder- Beyonce works out  five days a week with her personal trainer. Her workout includes 100 squats, 100 step-ups and 100 walking lunges, she tells Self magazine this month.

And it’s no surprise that she uses music to make working out more fun.

“I’ll put on a song that I really like and do [biceps curls with] 5-pound weights the whole song.”

Or, using 3-pound weights, she’ll box for the length of one track, according to Self.

I think Beyonce gives her best advice when sharing the secret behind her Sasha Fierce strut:

“It’s about self-esteem. It’s in the hips. Lean back, stretch your neck, keep your shoulders low, point your toes and cross one foot in front of the other.”

Definitely fierce!
