Lilly Allen Adopts a Shelter Dog. Recommends Others Do The Same
She can be a wild child at times but I was so happy to hear that Lilly Allen is setting a great example for others when it comes to animals. She’s made the decision to adopt a dog from a shelter instead of buying one from a breeder and is even encouraging others to do the same. I’m very passionate about animals and I love when people have healthy attitudes about them like Lilly does. On her blog, the singer writes,
“Anyways in other news, I’m getting a dog from Battersea dogs home , i found her on the weekend, and after a visit from a rehoming officer hopefully, i’ll have her by next week . She’s called Honey and she’s quite fat (insert dogs like their owners joke here) , but very sweet , she’s a mongrel . There were so many Stafforshire Bullies there it was so sad . People should really think about getting puppies from breeders or breeding them for that matter , if you saw all those poor dogs without a home with their sad little faces , you wouldn’t even think about buying dogs from people who profit.”
If you’re interested in bringing an animal into your home, I would strongly encourage you to adopt from your local shelter or rescues. You can also search at www.PetFinder.com for the perfect little guy – or girl – to warm your heart. My middle furkid, Sam, was found using PetFinder and I can’t tell you how happy he makes us every single day!

Awww, another reason to love Lilly. The FBGs are huge fans of her music…speaking of we really should add her to an upcoming playlist.
Anywho, shelter pups are the best! My eight-month old puppy was rescued after being abandoned behind a McDonalds. Sad.
And if you’ve ever seen that Oprah on puppy mills, you’ll never get one anywhere else but a shelter!
