A List Stars Are Taking on Cancer - Healthy Hollywood

Numerous a-list stars like Jennifer Aniston, Charlize Theron, Scarlett Johansson, and Meryl Streep all announced yesterday that they are going to take part in the Stand Up To Cancer show airing on September 5th. For one night only, even the rival TV networks are going to call a truce to the ratings war, and ABC, CBS and NBC are all going to broadcast the event simultaneously, commercial free, for an hour during prime time!

The show will be a mix of entertainment and hard-hitting documentary segments (with star anchors, Katie Couric, Brian Williams and Charles Gibson) profiling celebrities who have all faced cancer in one way or another. The stars will be doing everything from performing to manning the phone banks all to help raise money for cancer research.

The producer of the show and cancer survivor Laura Ziskin said,

“The support we’ve received from the creative community is remarkable.  My phone is constantly ringing with people asking, ‘What can I do and how can I help?’ We hope viewers all over the country will do the same”

You can tune in to the show at 8PM ET/PT on September 5th or check out their website for more information.
