The Office’s Jenna Fischer Talks About Getting Back in Shape After Injury

In 2007, The Office’s Jenna Fischer suffered a back-breaking fall on the stairs of a Manhattan restaurant. After her recovery, Jenna found herself 10 pounds heavier and looking to lose the weight- a goal that she recently reached! Here’s her story:

“I lost the first few pounds, which was a great motivator, but I had to do more,” Jenna tells Shape magazine.

She says that it was a combination of hiking and cutting back on fatty foods that finally took off the pounds.

“I went shopping with my girlfriends recently, and I fit into my old-size jeans. I’m like, ‘Do you like these? I don’t care!’ They could have been acid-washed and I would’ve bought them simply because of the size!”

Jenna remains very down-to-earth about her body and her famous status.

“I’ve heard gorgeous actresses say, ‘My ears are too pointy’ or ‘My feet are horrible.’ But rather than complain about it, we should be laughing at our imperfections to make ourselves feel better. I’ll squeeze the jiggle on my thigh for you just to show you I’m not perfect!”
