Sex and The City Diet and Workout Secrets – SATC Series

I have to tell you guys that I’m so excited about the Sex and the City Movie opening! I am getting together tonight with a wonderful group of brilliant, beautiful women to see the show and I can’t even tell you how excited we all are. It’s just such a great thing to have “girl time”, don’t you think? In honor of the movie, and the beautiful stars of the film, I thought I would create a “Sex and the City Series” of posts today. I hope you enjoy!

Looking at these four sexy ladies is enough to inspire us all to take another look at our diets and workouts. So, how do they do it?

Sarah Jessica Parker “Carrie”
Sarah Jessica Parker has made it known that she loves to eat! She has even joked that she and her hubby often plan their next meal while eating their current one. She doesn’t follow a strict eating plan. Instead, she eats whatever she wants and makes sure to practice portion control. Sarah also says it’s very hard for her to stick to a workout program so instead she does “everyday exercise”, meaning that she walks everywhere and always takes the stairs. The star says she tries to sneak in exercise into her life in any way that she can and when she finds time she likes to practice yoga and pilates and go running.

Kim Catrall “Samantha”
The oldest of all the women, Samantha … err, Kim has more nude scenes than any of them! She’s also the SATC star with the strangest habit to keep herself from overeating. When she feels she’s had enough food, she squirts lemon all over the remaining food on her plate so it tastes horrible and she won’t be tempted to keep eating! Kim says she “has to diet” because she “loves to eat”. She has also been known to practice the GI Diet and the South Beach Diet. When it comes to exercise, Kim has always been active and tries to get in at least 30 minutes a day. She loves skiing, tennis, running and pilates.

Kristin Davis “Charlotte”
Kristin is the first to admit that she’s “curvy” and that she intends to stay that way! The gorgeous brunette says she exercises to keep her body and mind fit and healthy, not to fit into a size 2. She eats very balanced meals every three hours consisting of protein, carbs, and veggies and practices portion control. She also loves to follow the detox plan SoCal Cleanse, to renew her body and spirit from time to time. Kristin says she loves being outdoors and hiking with her dogs in the Hollywood Hills. Once she knew she had to get ready for the movie she spent more time on the treadmill and also did yoga and pilates.

Cynthia Nixon “Miranda”
A recent breast cancer survivor, Cynthia Nixon knows what it’s like to keep yourself strong and healthy. She has a love for sushi and often has it several times a week. She also likes her veggies with … well a twist. The actress loves to take tomatoes, dip them in vodka, and then in salt before eating them. It’s called the Cynthia Nixon Tomato Surprise. As for exercise, Cynthia credits her slim figure in part to Gyrotronics – a combination of several workouts, including yoga, ballet, tai chi and gymnastics.

And there you have it, in a nutshell! How the Sex and the City stars stay… well, sexy! Whose plan would you rather follow?
