Robert Downey Jr. Says Burger King Inspired Him To Beat Addiction

Most people know it’s time for a change when they hit “rock bottom”.  This typically happens when one loses their job, their family, or all their money.  For Robert Downey Jr, it came when he went through a Burger King drive-thru.

Downey Jr. tells the Britain’s Empire Magazine that he had an epiphany when he was driving around with a car full of dope and decided to pull over for a burger.

“I have to thank Burger King. It was such a disgusting burger I ordered. I had that, and this big soda, and I thought something really bad was going to happen.”

Downey Jr. says he then tossed all of his drugs into the ocean and decided right then and there to clean up his act.

Wow!  I know that fast food burgers are pretty disgusting but disgusting enough to make one want to give up a drug addiction and completely change their life?  That’s pretty impressive!  After his performance in Iron Man, we should all be thanking Burger King!

Who knew Burger King could have a GOOD positive effect on people? It’s odd, but I’ll take it!
