Kate Winslet Wins Damages Over Lies About Her Exercise Regimen

kate-winslet

Kate Winslet is sending a clear message- she won’t tolerate rumors about her shape. Kate just won 25,000 pounds (about $40,000) in a settlement with the UK’s Daily Mail over a story that claimed she lied about her exercise regimen.

Kate’s lawyers said that she sought an apology “to demonstrate my commitment to the views that I have always expressed about body issues, including diet and exercise.”

It’s not the first time that Kate’s brought false coverage of her weight to court. In 2007, she won a suit against a magazine that claimed she visited a ‘diet doctor,’ according to The Huffington Post.

We know that Kate has always been outspoken about her body and her weight, but it’s never been more clear that this is an issue close to her heart. She obviously doesn’t want women to believe that they need to lose weight, or see a doctor, to look beautiful!
