How Trista Sutter Got Her Bachelorette Body Back

In the six months since ex-Bachelorette Trista Sutter gave birth to her second child, she’s managed to lose the 43 pounds she put on during pregnancy- and then some. Trista, normally 110 lbs, is down to 108 and feels much more confident about getting in a bikini, which she did for this week’s issues of Life & Style and People.

So what was it like for Trista to lose the weight the second time?

It was harder to lose weight this time around … I gained 10 more pounds this time…I had gestational diabetes with Max, so I really had to watch what I ate at the end of that pregnancy. With Blakesley, I didn’t have diabetes, so I went all out – I ate everything,” Trista told Life & Style.

“For obvious reasons, my abs were the one area that didn’t jump right back into positionafter I had Blakesley, so I’m still really focused on working on them and getting more toned.”

She told People that she turned her own home into a workout space so she wouldn’t have to worry about taking her young children to the gym.

“I would put a ski pole above my head and do lunges across my driveway. Max would be napping and I would bring Blakesley out and put her in the back of the minivan. It was great for me to not have the stress of packing up the kids and getting to the gym.”

She also took advantage of a website called mycalorienumber.com.

“It gives you menus and you can print out what you need to buy at the grocery store. It’s really helped me because knowing your number and then knowing how much it is to walk, how much you need to strength-train, the number of the calories your burning … It’s so easy.”

“I really believe that you shouldn’t deprive yourself – just getting a taste of something sweet keeps away that urge to binge.”

Trista’s tips are great for moms who can’t get to a gym or anyone who needs at-home tools to help with fitness and weight loss. She’s making it all look easy!
