Gwyneth Paltrow Says Critics of Her Site Just “Don’t Really Get It”
Gwyneth Paltrow is responding to critics who are attacking her lifestyle Web site, Goop.com.
The New York Times published an article earlier this week that questioned the site’s relevance and asked, “why is she suddenly on TV giving dieting and fitness tips, backing a gym, writing a cookbook and an online newsletter full of shopping advice, kabbalistic musings and discussion of the Master Cleanse?”
Gwyneth is now responding to the article telling People,
“I think the people who are criticizing it or criticizing the idea of it, don’t really get it, because if they did, they would like it. I think that people like people to stay in their ‘box’ – they like people to stay how they are comfortable seeing them.”
“There’s nothing incendiary about it. I find it really interesting because it’s a harmless [news]letter that goes out each week.”
When the actresses was asked why she was inspired to become a Web lifestyle author, she replied,
“because I felt like I had a lot of really useful information that I was privileged enough to get, because I have this amazing, super, fortunate life.”
“My friends call me all the time to say, ‘Where should I go?’ or ‘What should I do?’ And I thought, you know maybe some other people would be interested in it as well, so I started it, and it’s doing great.”
What do you think? Is Gwyneth qualified to be an give advice in the lifestyle field or should she leave it to the experts? Or, is it all just harmless like she says?

shes sexy
I love her newsletter. I love her website. The people that don’t like her website are just people that are stuck in their conventional ways of doing things. I love that she is on the same page as I am. I get tired of lazy, conventional, boring people. If you don’t like it don’t get on her website. Why does it bother you?
