Ashlee Simpson is in Shape
Have you guys seen Ashlee Simpson in Shape Magazine? She really looks amazing! The young songbird talks about how she got “strong & sexy inside and out” and dishes on all her healthy hollywood secrets!
Ashlee says that over the past year she just got really serious about her workouts. She hired celebrity trainer, Mike Alexander (he was also responsible for getting sister Jessica into those daisy dukes!), who trains her at home using a treadmill, an elliptical, and dumbbells as well as surroundings in her backyard like steps. Mike says he has her jog down about 30 to 40 steps, do lunges for the length of her pool, jog back up, and do a set of squats. Ashlee spends an hour 2 or 3 times a week doing these workouts and as you can see, it’s definitely paid off!
Mike also developed a 30 minute, do anywhere routine for Ashlee because of her busy schedule. You can see it on Shape’s website at www.shape.com/ashleeworkout. It’s a wonderful routine and I highly recommend it if you’re pressed for time but still want to get in a great workout.
As far as diet, Ashlee says she eats a “moderate diet overall”. A typical breakfast is strawberry yogurt and granola while lunch is a turkey and veggie wrap. She finishes up with lean proteins and lots of green veggies for dinner. It’s interesting to see that she also says sometimes she craves Skittles or Taco Bell and she has them! She just watches her diet a little more closely the next day.
Overall, this is a very healthy, active lifestyle Ashlee has adopted. Now, about those pregnancy rumors…
