Alison Sweeney Stays Fit On The Cheap

If you’ve been following all of the famous new moms getting back in shape with personal trainers, you might think that you have to leave the house (and spend big bucks) to do the same. Not so, says Alison Sweeney, who got her pre-baby body back by watching her diet and working out at home with the Nintendo Wii video game system and an EA Sports Active game package. The host of The Biggest Loser says that her 4 ½ year-old son, Benjamin Edward, can even play along, eliminating the need for a babysitter.

“It’s just a good example of how you can really get it done at home. You don’t need to have a big fancy gym membership. One of the things we talk about on The Biggest Loser all the time is just how difficult it is financially to lose weight sometimes. And that isn’t an excuse anymore. There are really reasonable options,” Alison says.

Alison gave birth to a daughter 5 months ago and says that she gained less weight during her second pregnancy because she chose fresh fruit over processed desserts to satisfy her sweet cravings. And she and her husband are already feeling confident about handling a second child.

“You do kinda relax into it, which was nice. It made me feel like, okay, I got this. I can handle this.”
